ABOUT

We are the YMCA Earth Service Corps from the YMCA of the Upper Main Line. Founded in 2001, we have been providing teens in our community with an engaging environmental education curriculum for over a decade. Through service projects, field trips, and high-adventure expeditions, our students become strong, confident, and responsible environmental leaders.

 

A national YMCA program founded in 1989, YESC was started by the Seattle YMCA. Since it's inception, YESC has greatly expanded across the nation, with branches found in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Massachucets.

 

YESC is an innovative youth-led program that empowers students to take a hands-on role in creating a healthier environment in their schools, communities and region while nurturing a respect for diversity within the natural world.

 

Young people in Earth Service Corps are recognized as valuable resources who collaborate with peers, teachers and community members to solve pressing environmental issues in their communities.
