JOE YOHANNAN
Joe Yohannan is high school social studies teacher at the Avon Grove High School. In his second year at the school, he is teaching American History and World History. Joe has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education at the Pennsylvania State University and graduated in 2010. Joe has also served as a day camp counselor for four summers at the Upper Main Line YMCA and is now the day camp supervisor for the past two summers. With a strong passion for government and civic duty, Joe joined the Youth and Government team last year as a supervisor and cannot wait for his second year to begin.

Cassie is a senior student at West Chester University. She studies Political Science: International Relations with minors in Ethnic Studies, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and Peace & Conflict Studies. She worked this summer as a counselor for the Leadership In Training camp here at UMLY. She also works as a party attendant at the Y. In 2011 she interned for State Senator Chuck McIlhinney of Pennsylvania’s 10th District at his constituent office in Doylestown, PA.
CASSIE HAMRICK

Bernard McCauley, a teacher at Great Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, joins Youth and Government for the first time. While at Penn State, he majored in Social Studies Education and minored in History and Geography. Since his time at Penn State, he has taught European History, United States History, and Government and Economics at Great Valley, as well as organized youth workers for the Chester County Bureau of Elections.
